From one lady to another.Grace&Lacehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10638648630243109058noreply@blogger.comBlogger2125tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3381109863657914645.post-52311297726995260052018-01-05T19:29:00.002-08:002018-01-05T19:34:18.475-08:00When it rains!I’m sure you can fill in the rest of the statement “ when it rains....” Let me tell you, it has been pouring here! My whole family got the highly contagious stomach flu—my parents, my sisters, my husband and son, myself—all of us! It even spread to friends! IT is AIRBORN you guys! No amount of disinfecting or hand washing helped us. My advice—stay home, get fluids in and rest!
In honor of this lovely season, I wanted to share some of my favorite things that soothe an aching stomach:

Kevita Lemon Ginger Kombucha — this amazing drink must be slowly sipped when you have a sensitive tummy, but has all of the good stuff that helps you feel better and hydrated
Coconut Water —it has all of the good electrolytes to help you replenish
Saltine Crackers —they are not low-carb or keto, but they DO make me feel better
Lavender Oil —a nice, warm soak in a bath with some lavender essential oil (and maybe some epsom salts too) help to relax all of those achy muscles
Pho Soup —the truth is...I don’t make mine. I order it to go. But it’s time to learn to make it. There is something about bone broth that does wonders for the gut!

What are some of your favorite things that help you get over a cold or the flu? I’d love to know!

One of my favorite songs was on today and it’s worth sharing—check out Hillsong’s At the Cross

Last, but not least, I have had downtime and am reading the latest novel by one of my favorite authors, Laura Frantz. You guys! This book is sooooo good! If you love historical fiction, check out The Lacemaker . You won’t be disappointed!
And with it came the inspired idea to blog! I was at my favorite local coffee shop, Kuppa Joy, when Holy Spirit spoke to me about starting a blog called Grace&Lace. So, here I am, not to be confused with the amazing clothing line Grace and Lace . I will be sharing about God, music, books, crafts and recipes....a little hodgepodge collection of things. I hope to keep you entertained, inspired and encouraged.

Today's inspiration: Deserts bloom. No matter what valley you are in, beautiful blooms will show themselves eventually.
